Shop-built stair wraps

Shop-built stair wraps for LVP and wood floors

Stair edges wrapped in LVP or wood are built in our Columbia Falls, Montana shop, not on the job site. Wrapping a stair edge isn't natural to these materials, which is why the work is done in the shop, by hand, from the flooring identified for your project.

Why wrapping is done in the shop

LVP and wood flooring are made to lie flat across a room. Carrying that same material around the front edge of a step isn't something the material does on its own, so it is not done on the job site.

Instead, the stair parts are wrapped in our shop and shipped ready for your installer, using the flooring supplied for your project rather than a generic color match.

Why that matters for fit and finish

Consistent edges

each wrapped edge is built the same way, step after step, so the stair run reads as part of the floor.

Controlled shop conditions

the work happens at a bench with the right setup, rather than on a busy job site.

Reviewed before production

your flooring and stair details are reviewed first, and the written quote confirms the parts suitable for your project.

Common questions

Can LVP be wrapped around a stair nose?

Not naturally on the job site — wrapping a stair edge isn't natural to LVP. Tread Space wraps LVP stair edges in our Columbia Falls shop, by hand, from the flooring identified for your project. Suitability is confirmed during project review.

Why shop-built instead of on-site?

Because wrapping isn't natural to LVP or wood, it is done in the shop, where controlled conditions help keep edges consistent from step to step. The finished parts are then shipped for your installer.
