Tread Space

How ordering works

Ordering stair parts from Tread Space follows six steps, from your flooring to finished parts at your door. Every order starts with a written quote. Pricing and turnaround are confirmed on your written quote.

Six steps to finished stair parts

1. Choose your path

send us your flooring (a box of planks). If you would like us to source the flooring instead, ask, and we answer that on your written quote.

2. Tell us about your stairs

number of steps, stair widths, open or closed sides, nosing profile and photos.

3. We send a written quote

it covers the parts, price and turnaround for your project.

4. Approve the quote

payment terms, including whether a deposit applies, are set out on the written quote.

5. We build every tread in our Montana shop

wrapped by hand in Columbia Falls from your actual flooring.

6. Delivery

parts ship by freight to customers across the United States. Ask about pickup or regional delivery, and we answer on the quote.

Before you start

Have the box label handy: brand, product or collection, color name and SKU.

Measure each stair width separately, because older stairs commonly vary, and note which sides are open.

Photos of the label, a plank edge and the stairs help the review.
